Our Services
We are all about offering services that promote community wellbeing, support vulnerable people, help people help themselves, promote community or cultural identity and help people recognise again that they belong to, and can take part in, their community.
People who access community house to receive support include – single parent families, former refugees, migrants and newcomers, people seeking advice, people with mental health stress, senior citizens, new parents, primary and high school age students experiencing health problems, people needing anger management or under court orders to attend stopping violence courses, people with disabilities, volunteers and much more.
Other services we offer are the hiring of our community van, photocopying and scanning facilities and a short-term wheelchair hire.

Community House Mid Canterbury offers a one-stop-shop for all your photocopying, scanning and laminating requirements. Our friendly reception staff are on hand to assist you whether it be one or multiple copies in black and white or colour. We offer:
A4 photocopying single sided copying in black and white or colour
A4 photocopying double sided copying in black and white or colour
A3 photocopying single sided copying in black and white or colour
A3 photocopying double sided copying in black and white or colour
Scanning services single or double sided in A4 & A3

Community Van Hire

VAN HIRE RATES
| Commercial rate per day for travel up to 300km | $139.00 |

CHARGES INSURANCE COVER
| Option One: Pre-authorisation hold on a credit card, which is our insurance excess. Once van is returned undamaged this is deleted. | $1000.00 |
| Option two: Reduced excess. (With this option a non-refundable amount of $50 is payable on top of the daily rate.) |

All drivers must be 25 years and over
Hold a current full NZ Drivers Licence
A copy of the Driver’s Licence must be supplied to Community House when hiring
Only the person/s who have supplied a copy of their licence may drive the vehicle.
The van must be returned with a full tank of diesel, in a clean and tidy condition ready for the next hire.

Network Meetings
Community House Network Meetings have a strong history in Mid Canterbury, having been held here for the past 20 years. These meetings are a chance to network with other community and social groups that provide services in our area.
Our network meetings are held between 9.30am – 11.30am on the first Friday of February, April, June, August, October, December each year.
Meetings are held in the Rakaia Room at Community House.
